The deadline zoomed into focus at midnight on Sunday 5 February for the sixth Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year, the world’s leading celebration of the art of food photography and film.
“The entries were pouring in until the last moment,” says Caroline Kenyon, Director of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year. “We are absolutely delighted to announce our greatest ever number, with over 8400 images and films coming from sixty countries across the globe.”
The number of entries has gone up exponentially in the five years since the Awards first took place in 2012.

Shortlisting takes place in mid February, followed by the next stage of judging, after which the overall winner will be decided at the Judges’ Dinner at the Saatchi Gallery in March. The prestigious Awards Reception will be held at the world-renowned Mall Galleries in April, presented by Jay Rayner, broadcaster and food critic.
Judges for Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2017 include chef superstar Gary Rhodes, David Loftus, Jamie Oliver’s photographer, Emily Luchetti, Chair, James Beard Foundation, NYC and Rein Skullerud, Head, Photo Unit, World Food Programme.
