Safestay, the owner and operator of contemporary hostels, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nuno Sacramento as Chief Operating Officer.
Nuno joins Safestay from Carillion PLC, where he was Head of Customer Operations and responsible for developing their group-wide customer service culture. Prior to this, Nuno worked for Whitbread PLC for 16 years in several senior managerial roles, working with the Company’s well-known brands Premier Inn, Beefeater and Costa Coffee.
Nuno brings a strong combination of sector experience drawn from his knowledge of working across the hotel and F&B sectors that will be directly applicable to Safestay’s customer offering. Throughout his career, Nuno has focused on improving and tracking the ‘customer experience’ across the market leading brands he has worked with, aligning neatly with Safestay’s culture of creating a truly distinctive customer experience within the contemporary hostel market.
Alongside Executive Chairman and Founder of Safestay, Larry Lipman, Nuno will run the business and have operational control over the 1,526 bed hostel group.
Nuno said, “Like the rest of industry I have been watching the rapid emergence of the contemporary hostel sector with great interest and in particular its growth in share of the UK market. I am therefore delighted to be joining Safestay at this juncture – a brand that is unique within the market and poised to go from strength to strength.”
