Pizza Hut Restaurants has unveiled a £291,000 restaurant makeover at its Banbury Cross Retail Park Hut, creating 10 new jobs for the area.
The re-opening is part of a multi-million pound nationwide redesign programme by the casual dining company. A brand new, exciting menu will also be rolled out in the revamped Hut that includes new additions to its Feel Good Flatbread range, Kentucky style BBQ ribs, frickles (fried pickles) and American style waffles.
All of Pizza Hut Restaurants’ famous icons – including the Ice Cream Factory, Salad Station and Buffet – still take centre stage, but form part of the new, interactive design that includes a central preparation station offering a range of desserts including warm cookie dough, and a self-service soft drinks hub allowing guests to refill drinks at their leisure.
Ashley Woollery, Restaurant Manager, said: “I can’t believe how different the Hut looks – it’s fantastic. We’ve added two stand out feature walls, funky lights and stylish booths that are great for families or groups of friends. The whole team is really impressed with the new makeover and I think our guests will be too.
“On top of that we’ve got a brand new menu with lots of tasty new dishes to try. We’ve really tried to mix things up introducing new dishes such as our chicken wings and BBQ steak flat breads.”
Hut Team Member, Louise Thompson, added: “We love the new makeover. The design features really help to bring the Hut to life and have created such a fun atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend tasting the chocolate chunk cheesecake – it’s delicious.”
The investment in Banbury is part of a broader £60 million refurbishment and restructuring programme for the business, secured through private equity investment from Rutland Partners in late 2012.
