We love to scour the consumer press to see what is being reported concerning the hospitality and catering industry and we found an interesting snippet today in the INDEPENDENT – The one thing that can make you a better cook, according to 7 professional chefs.

The chefs asked included Tom Cenci, executive chef at the Duck and Waffle who said for him it was all about preparation, “do as much prep as you can the day before, buy all the ingredients and get the harder jobs done like marinating, cutting, weighing and baking”.

Some chefs were far more specific with some interesting recommendations on their kitchen essentials, including…a probe thermometer, knife skills and really high-quality olive oil.
