After a cold but thankfully short walk from West Hampstead Station I arrived at Bobby Fitzpatrick’s with a relieved smile to the comforting smells from the pizza oven and I was then greeted by a welcome cocktail.
Not as small inside as first impressions from the outside suggested, there are a few areas where the girls (or boys) can sit and chat the night away, sampling the glorious concoctions from the bar menu. The cocktails are cheeky and bold, (as were the bartenders) and I thought the cocktail stirrers were a great touch.
The interior was reminiscent of such movies as American Hustle and Saturday Night fever, a very retro trip indeed. The waiting staff were uber friendly and helpful and all wore “Bobby” Nametags.
The Food menu was fun and didn’t take itself too seriously. I found myself drawn to the Chicken Tikka pizza. I shamelessly gorged myself on Tikka flavoured chicken pieces smothered in Cheese and sour cream. It was fantastic. I had a Pina Colada for dessert.
My only regret about visiting this vibrant establishment was that I didn’t get to sample the cheesy garlic mushrooms. I couldn’t smell like garlic on assignment. I’ll have to return. It was welcoming, cosy and entirely entertaining – Groovy Baby!
