All Star Lanes had another successful year growing revenues by 5.7% to £15.3m (2015: 3.1% to £14.5m). All-important Christmas revenue grew by 13.5% year-on-year
Gross margin continues to improve to 82.1% in 2016 (81.8% in 2015 and 78.9% in 2014) as a result of the continuing emphasis on improving product offering and operational efficiencies implemented during this period
Adjusted EBITDA grew significantly by 39.5% to £1,463k (£1,049k in 2015 and £854k in 2014), as the management continued to focus upon labour utilisation rates, driving synergies and implementing standard operating procedures
Christian Rose, Managing Director of All Star Lanes, commented: “2016 was a year of record growth for the group and one that marks a new phase of re-investment for All Star Lanes. A strong foundation of managerial and operational performance over the last two years has meant we have been able to focus on the brand’s future, investing in the development of an integrated visual brand identity, the £700k refurbishment of our landmark Brick Lane and Holborn venues as well as the agreement of terms on two new locations.”
The business also recently completed a £3.5m RCF agreement with HSBC, meaning over £4m of investment will be allocated the future growth plans and the expected announcement of two new sites. The first All Star Lanes venue opened in Holborn in 2006, followed by Bayswater in 2007, Brick Lane in 2008 and Westfield Stratford City in 2011. All Star Lanes opened its first site outside of London, in Manchester in 2013.
