PAUL bakeries raise £15,013 for The Felix Project as part of the Sharing our Daily Bread Initiative, donating 50p per loaf to Reduce Waste & Reduce Hunger.
PAUL is delighted to announce that its artisan bakeries have raised an overwhelming £15,013 for The Felix Project as part of the Sharing our Daily Bread initiative, which launched on 12th December 2016 and closed on 15th January 2017.
The initiative witnessed the 35-strong bakeries go above and beyond to help those less fortunate put food on the table throughout the winter, donating 50p from each loaf of bread sold (400g or larger) to reduce waste and hunger.
The Felix Project distributes London’s surplus fresh food, which would otherwise go to waste, to feed the homeless, those living in poverty and families struggling to get by. PAUL currently donates unsold products to the charity on a daily basis, and wanted to expand this partnership by inviting customers to support the Sharing our Daily Bread campaign.

Not only are we able to provide our leftover bread, but we are baking fresh on a daily basis, a Bread Pudding to further increase our contributions to those in need across London. It was wonderful to see how many of our customers embraced the additional Christmas campaign, helping us to raise such a significant sum. There is more work to be done, and we will continue our commitment to explore new avenues in helping the charity continue such worthwhile work”.
