London insider’s’ guide, The Nudge, have teamed up with The Guild Of Misrule and The Immersive Ensemble to bring the capital its largest, most grandiose, immersive theatre-party of 2017.
The Great Gatsby Party will see guests take a jaunt deep down into The VAULTS, drawn by the sounds of hot jazz and popping Champagne corks, to find themselves nestled in a clandestine, 30,000 sq ft subterranean maze beneath Waterloo Station.
Created by the team behind the critically acclaimed immersive production of The Great Gatsby, and taking place immediately following two selected shows of The Great Gatsby this February, VAULT Festival will be turned in to a living, breathing dive into ‘20s hedonism, thrown by Jay Gatsby himself.
Many aspects of the nights are being kept secret, but guests can expect hedonistic parties of red hot jazz, hard liquour, all-out excess and a cornucopia of surprises filling the arches of The Vaults and stretching through secret caverns and into illicit lounges. There’ll be private Champagne and cocktail tastings, glittering jazz bars and and boudoirs of refined booze, as well as secret rendezvous, aerialists from Chivaree, multiple stages filled with a rotating collection of swing dance acts, bands – including Holy Moly & The Crackers – DJ Miles Metric, charleston dancing by the Dixie Dinahs, burlesque from Peggy De Lune, magic from John Bulleid, and five seperate bars serving all manner of cocktails, wines, and beers all night long.
