Legendary Soho singing contest, Archer Street’s Got Talent is back with a bang this year, ready to welcome the UK’s future stars to the stage in 2017. Back due to popular demand, Archer Street’s Got Talent will return to the well loved Soho bar Archer Street on 21st February, welcoming high profile industry professionals and celebrity guests to the judging panel.
Those looking to become the voice of 2017 are in with a chance of scooping a £3,000 cash prize and a once in a lifetime media and support package to step your career up to the next level. The esteemed judging panel will be made up of three industry professionals from the world of pop, theatre and television with a surprise celebrity guest judge each week. Previous years judges have featured talent critics including Piers Morgan, Michael Ball alongside West End Theatre Directors and Vocal Experts from both The Voice and X.Factor.
Archer Street’s Got Talent is known for shaking things up in the heart of the West End, with guests flocking from all corners of the city to watch up and coming talent go head to head for the coveted prize. Previous winners of Archer Street’s Got Talent include Alex Francis, brother to BRIT Award winner James Bay who recently played at Time Out’s Rising Stars and will launch his debut EP in January. The competition is well attended by talent scouts from all areas of the music industry, with other past contestants going on to X Factor & The Voice. Archer Street’s Got Talent finalist Kerrianne Covell made it through to the judges’ houses on X-Factor, Rozzy Turner joined Will.i.am
‘s team and Deano Boroczky joined Paloma Faiths team on The Voice.
This year’s contest will begin with auditions at the end of January in Archer Street’s après-ski pop-up bar Piste before the heats begin on 21st February. Guests are welcomed down every Tuesday thereafter until the 2017 Voice of Soho is crowned on the 18th April.
Having successfully operated and transformed many bars in the heart of the West End. Siobhan MaGill’s desire to bring an essence of the theatre into the bars has been achieved, not only at Freedom on Wardour Street, where she has created one of the most versatile performance spaces, providing a platform for many unknown artists to showcase their talent but also at Archer Street, where the bar staff are some of most talented singers in London, who have worked at many of the Capital’s leading musical’s including Thriller, We Will Rock You and Book of Mormon and continue to impress guests with their nightly performances.

Entrants need to be available to attend the auditions, one of the heats, possibly the wild card week and, if successful, the final.

Heats: 21st, 28th February / 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th March / 4th April – 6.00pm to 10.30pm
Wild Card: 11th April – 6.00pm to 10.30pm
Final: 18th April – 6.00pm to 10.30pm
