Who’s Cooking Dinner? Returns in March 2017

20 of the UK’s most celebrated chefs, with a host of Michelin stars and accolades between them, will share the kitchen for one evening’s service at Four Seasons Hotel at Park Lane for the 18th annual Who’s Cooking Dinner? charity event. On Monday 6th March 200 lucky diners will relish an exclusive evening of unforgettable dishes from world-class culinary talent, with the event raising vital funds for research and treatment into leukaemia and blood cancers.

With a collection of 15 Michelin stars between them 2017’s chef line-up includes: Ruth Rogers MBE (The River Café*), Tom Kerridge (The Hand and Flowers**), Adam Byatt (Trinity*), Hélène Darroze (Hélène Darroze at The Connaught**), Isaac McHale (The Clove Club*), José Pizarro (Pizarro), Bjoern Weissgerber (Sexy Fish)  James Lowe (Lyle’s*), Francesco Mazzei (Sartoria), Brett Graham (The Ledbury**), Ashley Palmer-Watts (Dinner by Heston Blumenthal**), Mark Hix MBE (HIX), Peter Gordon (The Providores), Rainer Becker (Zuma), Angela Hartnett with Neil Borthwick (Murano*, Merchants Tavern), Nuno Mendes (Chiltern Firehouse), Giorgio Locatelli (Locanda Locatelli*), Tim Hughes (Scott’s), Hideki Hiwatashi (Sake no Hana) and Tong Chee Hwee (HKK*).

Chris Corbin, (The Wolseley, The Delaunay, Brasserie Zédel and Colbert) Chairman of Leuka and Who’s Cooking Dinner? says: “We are looking forward to hosting Who’s Cooking Dinner? once again this spring. A highlight of the culinary calendar; each year we are blown away by the world-class talent in the room and the generosity towards a cause that is so deserving.”

A concept created by chef Peter Gordon in 1998, the annual ‘Who’s Cooking Dinner?’ evening is one of the city’s most celebrated dining occasions. Upon arrival, guests are assigned to their coveted chef’s table by random draw. Within one room a variety of cuisine, skill and talent will be on show as some of the UK’s most esteemed chefs serve exclusive, unique menus, paired with wines expertly matched by each restaurant’s sommelier. Following dinner guests are invited to bid generously in what would normally be a money-can’t-buy experience of having the chefs cook in their own home.

Speaking about the evening, Peter Gordon says: “Who’s Cooking Dinner? is a celebration of what can be achieved when an industry comes together to make a difference. For one night only, a team of the best chefs in the UK will delight a single room with unforgettable menus. There is real camaraderie in the kitchen but there’s also intense heat – these chefs are out to impress!”

Returning to the event Hélène Darroze of Hélène Darroze at The Connaught says: “I am delighted to rejoin the event this year. I’m a chef who cooks from the heart and I’m looking forward to treating my table to a very special meal whilst supporting such a worthy cause.”
