Today, Travelodge, one of London’s biggest hotel chains has opened its first hotel in Finchley, which is also the first branded hotel in the area.
The purpose built hotel is a two floor extension that has been built on top of an existing four storey office building – located at: 4th-6th Floors, Winston House, 2 Dollis Park Road, Finchley, London, N3 1HF.
London Finchley Travelodge has 128 rooms which offer floor to ceiling windows and a Bar café. The hotel is located within walking distance of Finchley Central station and is easily accessible from the M1.
The hotel represents an investment of £7.5 million for the landlord and has created 25 new jobs within the local community.
London Finchley Travelodge is the company’s third and largest hotel in the borough of Barnet.
The Mayor of the Borough of Barnet, Councillor David Longstaff joined Travelodge Regional Director, Bryn Taylor to officially open the hotel at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Bryn Taylor, Travelodge Regional Director said: “We are delighted to open our first hotel in Finchley which is also our largest property in the borough of Barnet. Our hotel is just seven stops into central London making it a great value stop over not just for visitors to the borough but to the capital too.”
As one of London’s biggest hotel chains, our focus now is to grow our network of hotels across Greater London in the capital’s emerging boroughs that are fast becoming business hubs. This expansion includes looking for new sites in North London at the following locations: Barking, Tottenham, Muswell Hill and Highgate.”
The Major of the Borough of Barnet, Councillor David Longstaff said: “I am very pleased to attend the official opening of the new Travelodge hotel in Finchley, North London. The addition of Travelodge will have a positive impact on Barnet by providing employment for many local residents, and affordable accommodation for visitors. The hotel is in a prime location, with fantastic transport links to the rest of the city and beyond.”
