UK debut site for The Food Yard opens its doors

By James Russell: UK debut site for The Food Yard opens its doors

November 28, 2016

The Sloane Stanley Estate has today announced, that the new healthy dining concept, The Food Yard, has opened at 279 Fulham Road.

The new deli-style 1,327sq ft restaurant caters for 20 covers, serving a variety of dishes for breakfast and lunchtime focusing on healthy salads and seasonal ingredients.

Customers can order from the fresh food counter, allowing them to create their own combinations of delicious homemade hot and cold meals. The interior design was carried out by an in-house team.

Commenting on the news, Hannah Grievson, Commercial Property Manager at Sloane Stanley said: “There is an increasing demand for healthy-eating options as consumers become more diet and health conscious. It is therefore extremely timely for us to add the Food Yard and their nutritious menu to our fantastic range of dining options.”

Nassib Hamdane, Founder of The Food Yard added: “It feels amazing to finally open the doors to The Food Yard and share our unique, seasonal menu. Crucial to the successful launch of a new brand in a competitive market is securing the right location for our target audience. I am therefore thrilled to have secured Fulham Road, an area popular with food lovers and trend conscious consumers, for my debut site.”

This news follows the September launch of the new-look Bluebird restaurant and bar on the King’s Road. Earlier in the year, French boulangerie Orée, also made its debut on Fulham Road.

Sloane Stanley is one of the oldest landowning estates in London.  The Estate owns and manages hundreds of residential and commercial properties on the King’s Road and Fulham Road.

Serving a catchment of over 8.5 million people, the Estate has a Total Comparison Goods market potential of £555.5 million. Dominated by premium and accessible premium brands that account for 74% of the total offer – which is much higher than the benchmark average of 50% – the area ranks in the top 3% of 4,300 Retail Footprint ranked centres nationally.

Shackleton and Miles Commercial represented Sloane Stanley. Best Gapp represented The Food Yard.
