We are extremely proud to announce that we have retained our Michelin Star in the 2017 guide, for the fifteenth consecutive year. Owner Peter Newman said: “It is always a nervous wait for the announcement from Michelin and we are all overjoyed that we have once again retained our star. It is a true reflection on our incredibly dedicated team here at L’Ortolan, and we continue to push the boundaries of modern French cuisine.
I would like to thank Head Chef, Tom Clarke and the team for all their hard work and commitment over the years. It’s a great honour to be awarded the star and although we have retained the star for 15 years now, we never become complacent as it isn’t guaranteed from one year to the next.”
Head chef Tom Clarke – who took over the kitchen from Alan Murchison in January 2015 commented “It demonstrates just how much dedication the team have and we are constantly striving to exceed the expectations of our guests. The team work hard to ensure that passion is as integral to the wine selection, the service and the style of the environment as it is to the food.”
Thank you to all our friends of L’Ortolan and supporters over Berkshire and beyond.
