With many of us gearing up for a Black Friday spending spree this Friday, we wanted to turn this event on its head and use it to do something good. That’s why we’ll be giving away frozen surplus pie stock in return for donations to Shelter.
Shelter helps millions of people struggling with bad housing or homelessness every year and Black Pieday is a chance to support the charity and get a pie in return. We think that’s money-well-spent.
So find your nearest Black Pieday pop-up shop and spend your money wisely, giving to charity in return for delicious pies. We’ll have award-winning free range British chicken pies, British beef steak pies and vegetarian pies. But get there early because once they’re gone they’re gone.
Our Black Pieday pop-up shops open at 8.30am this Friday 25 November at the following locations:
- Broad Quay & Stokes Croft, Bristol
- Long Row, Nottingham
- Duncan Street, Leeds
- Gabriel’s Wharf & Leather Lane, London
- The Northern Quarter, Manchester
- St Mary’s Street, Cardiff
We also open the same day, at 11am, in:
- Trentham, Stoke On Trent
- The Covered Market, Oxford
Black Pieday is the inspiration behind another idea of ours called Little Acts of Pieness. This charitable campaign began in Spring 2016 and we’ve donated 18,000 pies already.
Black Pieday is a #littleactofpieness for Shelter.
