A very Texan Thanksgiving at Texas Joe’s Slow Smoked Meats

By James Russell: A very Texan Thanksgiving at Texas Joe’s Slow Smoked Meats

November 13, 2016

This November, Texas Joe’s Slow Smoked Meats will be celebrating Thanksgiving in true Texan style, bringing an authentic southern flair to the American holiday with an all out Thanksgiving feast.

The evening will kick off with a tasting of the award-winning bourbon from Texan distillers Garrison Brothers, followed by a thanksgiving must; Turkey, smoked in the restaurant’s custom-made 500-pound capacity rotisserie, bone marrow mash, chipotle glazed sweet potato alongside green bean casserole, smoked creamed corn, Poblano chorizo cornbread dressing and of course, the staple of every Thanksgiving meal, pumpkin pie.

Joe Walters, founder of Texas Joe’s Slow Smoked Meats says, ‘Thanksgiving is always a special time of the year and this November we want Londoners to join us in celebrating the tradition. Although the staples of a traditional Thanksgiving menu are common throughout the USA, each state or region has it’s own distinct take on it and I want to share a taste of Thanksgiving Texas style.’
