Guests at the London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale will soon be able to immerse themselves in the local area from the minute they walk through the door, thanks to a multi-million-pound bedroom refurbishment programme designed to celebrate the area’s heritage.
The popular business and leisure hotel has begun transforming its bedroom offering, with the introduction of 148 new king beds and 89 rooms, containing two double beds, all designed with a proud nod to the history of the local area.
Due for completion in mid November 2016, the refurbishment will see changes to the layout, interior design and technology in the bedrooms, inspired by the musical history and artistic culture of the area with the famous Abbey Road crossing just minutes away and the bohemian energy of Camden around the corner.
A range of international power sockets will be available as standard, as well as flat screen televisions with integrated Apple TV units for a variety of viewing options. Wi-Fi coverage throughout the hotel will also be enhanced to allow for an even more efficient online experience.
The hotel’s executive lounge and presidential suites will also be refreshed, with the latter featuring connecting doors between the master bedroom and second king bedroom, as well as twin beds in a third adjoining room to accommodate larger groups or families. The six junior suites will be re-imagined to include larger living spaces and all suites will include newly refitted kitchens, making them ideal for longer stays or travellers wishing to self-cater.
The four-star venue is working closely with Anita Rosato Interior Design, which specialises in hotel development and design that aligns with the London Marriott Maida Vale’s vision for its new bedroom offering.
The hotel is ideal for leisure or business guests wanting to stay in North West London, while being well-placed for the capital’s top sport, shopping and family friendly destinations, including Camden Market, Wembley Stadium and Little Venice.
Speaking about the refurbishment, general manager, Barbara Burton, said: “Our local area is alive with historical and cultural significance and we are excited that guests will be able to immerse themselves in the locality from the minute we hand them the key. Our new bedroom offering will better cater for the modern traveller by giving them a sense of place and providing them with the contemporary touches and technology to get the most out of their stay.”
Anita Rosato from the interior design team said of the themes: “The iconic image of the Beatles striding out across the zebra crossing is fundamental to the schemes at London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale.
“The theme and inspiration throughout the rooms has remained faithful to the sixties and all the elements have had many months of design development. Most are bespoke pieces designed in answer to the ever changing and challenging expectations of the modern world wide traveller, whether business or leisure guests. These are rooms in which the traveller will discover subtle references to their location while being surrounded by the utmost comfort.”
