This October, Gelupo – the highly lauded gelateria from Jacob Kenedy and Victor Hugo – will collaborate with seven Michelin-starred chefs, to produce a menu of exclusive and exceptional gelato flavours.

The gelato will be served in both Gelupo’s flagship Archer Street gelateria and Jacob Kenedy’s Vico in Cambridge Circus – which was today awarded its first prestigious Bib Gourmand in the Michelin announcement.

The collection of limited edition gelato flavours will be introduced to Gelupo’s menu this week – to coincide with the announcement of the 2017 Michelin Guide – and will be available until the end of the year. The recipes have been supplied by a handpicked selection of some of London’s most revered chefs, beloved of Jacob Kenedy and the Gelupo team, and include stars of the culinary world such as Michel Roux, Fergus Henderson and Pierre Koffmann.

Each chef involved in the unique initiative has developed and supplied Gelupo with a recipe, that showcases hero flavours and ingredients commonly found on their own restaurant menus. Flavours will range from the sweet and familiar, such as rice pudding and toasted almonds, to the inspired, such as Cuban tobacco, yuzu and genmaicha green tea.

The full menu will include: green cardamom & rose water from Atul Kochhar at Benares, ‘Dr Henderson’ (an unusual blend of Fernet-Branca and crème de menthe) from Fergus Henderson at St. JOHN, genmaicha (green tea) from Yoshi Ishii at Umu, toasted almonds & cherries from Bruce Poole at Chez Bruce, Cuban tobacco & dark rum from Pierre Koffmann at Koffmann’s, yuzu & green shiso from Arnaud Bignon at The Greenhouse, and rice pudding & plum eau de vie from Michel Roux at Le Gavroche.

The gelato will be available to purchase at Gelupo’s Archer Street gelateria and Vico, by the scoop.
