A spooktacular Halloween at the deserted Royal Albert Hall

By James Russell: A spooktacular Halloween at the deserted Royal Albert Hall

Ed Smith from Greene King and Kate Harris from the Royal Albert Hall toast the new partnership

One of Britain most spooktacular venues will host its first ever Halloween tours to celebrate a new four year deal with British brooooooewer, Greene King.

London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall is promising ‘things that go bump in the auditorium’ as brave members of the public are invited to tour its deserted corridors at night, hearing scary stories of secrets, séances and ghosts who like Michael Bolton.

These public tours, taking place only on Halloween, coincide with a limited edition redesign of Old Speckled Hen, which for a brief but terrifying time will be known as Old Spooky Hen.

Anyone brave enough to survive the 45-minute tour can take advantage of a complimentary drink of Old Spooky Hen to ‘calm their nerves’. And since it’s an ale and not a spirit, ghost hunters should have no trouble spotting the beer in the new ‘Old Speckled Hen’ bar at the legendary venue.

Kate Harris, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the Royal Albert Hall, said: “We’re terrified to announce these new tours, marking our exciting new partnership with Greene King. Venture into South Kensington if you dare, for a spine-tingling evening in our famous Victorian building.”

Ed Smith, Business Development Manager at Greene King, said: “We’re toasting our new partnership and the fang-tastic launch of Old Spooky Hen with these hair-raising Halloween tours, so come along at your own risk for a ghoulish treat.”
