After some fierce competition from Fridays bartenders up and down the country, expert mixologist, Alice Ford from Staines, has been crowned this year’s mixology champion with her inspired liquid creation. After four weeks of competing with finalists from Edinburgh and Watford, Alice’s cocktail has sold more than the rest, earning its place in the Fridays hall of fame – its world-renowned cocktail menu.
Her masterpiece, Honey Kist, will feature permanently on TGI Fridays’ legendary cocktail menu from October 2016. Created with Jack Daniel’s Honey Whiskey, it seems only fitting that Alice has also been rewarded with a trip to Lynchburg Tennessee to visit the Jack Daniel’s distillery herself.
On winning the ultimate prize, Alice said: “I can’t believe that my cocktail creation has been crowned the winner, out of the 150 other entries. I’m so grateful to those that went into their local Fridays to give it a try, and I hope they enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed creating it. I’m already thinking of what I can come up with next to retain my title!”
Alice’s Honey Kist is a deliciously sweet mix of real popcorn, Jack Daniel’s Honey Whiskey, White Cacao, Baileys, Dulce De Leche and ice cream, topped with sticky popcorn pieces drizzled in Dulce de Leche.
