Pod have spread their wings further afield as they open their second site in two months on Upper St Martin’s Lane, Seven Dials.
After the huge success of their new shop launch on Kingsway this summer, pod proved there is strong desire for their offering from customers further west.
Previously, the brand has successfully focused on a strong presence in the square mile and this new Covent Garden site marks a confident move from pod. The delicious, fresh fast food pod philosophy stays the same, with some changes being made to accommodate the bustling, culinary rich theatre district.
The new Seven Dials site will be open late, seven days a week to serve fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner. To answer the needs of this new group of Londoners, pod chefs are working on a range of innovative hot food dishes, set to launch over the next six months.
The restaurant will also offer a full catering service via their online ordering platform, specifically created for meetings and events, widening their delivery footprint.
Pod’s Executive Chairman John Postlethwaite comments:
“We are extremely proud of this opening, it is a big step forward for us and we are pleased to finally be answering the demand from our West End customers. We are testing a slightly different operating model here with no langars in the customer area. It is designed for speed of service to fit with the needs of the location. We have set a new standard for fast, fresh food in the area. Our sights are now firmly set on further West End locations”.
To celebrate the new arrival, pod gave away 800 free lunches on Friday 16th September, in just two hours proving the huge demand for their fresh healthy food in the area.
