The Red Lion, Barnes is excited to announce that on Friday 9 September at 7pm, the pub will be holding an exclusive beer tasting of Stateside Pride Ale. The beer tasting will be hosted by Fuller’s Brewing Manager, Georgina Young.
Fuller’s Stateside Pride Ale is based on one of the original London Pride recipes. Taken from old brewing books at Fuller’s, this recipe dates back to 1955. This brew includes British hops (Golding’s and Fuggles). A special culture of Fuller’s yeast was also propagated and flown to the USA in time for this brew.
Fuller’s teamed up with Sierra Nevada’s brewing team to create this new beer at the Mills River Brewery in North Carolina, USA [home of Sierra Nevada]. Georgina Young, Fuller’s Brewing Manager, together with Sierra Nevada brewers Scott Jennings (Head Brewer) and Matt Ruzich, joined forces to create this collaboration brew – sharing expertise and brewing techniques.
Stateside Pride Ale is a limited edition beer, available in cask and keg. There are only a handful of barrels left, so The Red Lion, Barnes tasting is a must for any beer aficionados.
