Electrolux Professional, is marking the third anniversary of its Center of Excellence in Luton by offering kitchen and laundry professionals free travel to and from its specialist demonstration sessions until 2017.
Having opened its doors in 2013, the leading manufacturer’s specially designed training and demonstration facility has welcomed nearly 2700 personnel from a variety of sectors in just three years. Now, even more chefs, caterers, hotel staff and laundry operators can benefit from free advice on how to get the most from their kit, thanks to a new ‘Your Fuel on Us’ promotion that will see Electrolux reimburse travel costs for those attending demonstrations at its Luton headquarters.
Over the years, more than 250 joints of meat have been roasted, over 2600 sandwiches toasted and more than 1000 loads of laundry washed with Electrolux’s leading Food Service and Laundry equipment. And, with such a wide range of kit on offer under one roof, sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of each individual operator.
Darren Lockley, Head of Region for Electrolux Professional UK & Ireland, commented: “To be nearing a rate of 1000 operators visiting us a year far eclipses what we had hoped to achieve when the Center of Excellence was first opened three years ago. We’re now eager to take this one step further, by investing in getting more people to the site in order to ensure expert demonstrations is available to anyone and everyone who wants it.
“Whether you’re a head chef looking to maximise food prep or a head housekeeper wanting to streamline your laundry operation, no request is too niche. We’ve delivered masterclasses on everything from washing prom dresses to producing 20kg of hummus – and we’re looking forward to the many interesting and intricate requests still to come!”
