Two new General Managers for Mercure Hotels

Two new General Managers have been appointed for two Mercure hotels; Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa and Mercure Daventry Court Hotel and Spa bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the roles from across the AccorHotel group.

Mercure Daventry Court Hotel and Spa and Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa joined the Mercure brand in October 2015 following the signing of a management contract with Amaris Hospitality Limited. The appointments are already effective.

The appointments include:

Wael Elassal, General Manager Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa

Wael Elassal

Wael Elassal has been appointed as General Manager of Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa. He joins from the nearby Novotel Cardiff Centre where he also held the position of General Manager for six years and with over 23 years industry experience.

Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel and Spa – located in the heart of the Welsh capital – is an affordable four star business hub boasting the city’s largest conferencing facility, which can cater up to 700 guests. The hotel also has 15 fully equipped meeting rooms and excellent transport links making it an ideal location for corporate travellers.

Carlos Vieira has acquired responsibility of Mercure Daventry Court Hotel and Spa, having worked with AccorHotels for 18 years in senior management positions.

Situated in a quiet Saxon market town and surrounded by gardens and a private courtyard – Mercure Daventry Court Hotel and Spa offers a secluded retreat for business travellers looking to balance business with leisure. The hotel boasts 15 flexible meeting and event spaces equipped with flat screen televisions, high-speed Wi-Fi and refreshments.

Those looking to inject some excitement into a MICE event can arrange a booking at the hotel combined with a pit stop at the nearby Silverstone race track – just a 30-minute drive away.
