The Countess of York, the beautifully restored 1956 Pullman-style carriage situated at the National Railway Museum in York, has announced the return of its Leaves on the Line campaign to celebrate the great English heritage and tradition of afternoon tea.
As part of the campaign, which coincides with national Afternoon Tea Week (8 – 14th August 2016), the Countess of York team will be hosting free tea tasting workshops to highlight the vast array of different types of tea available as part of its afternoon tea packages. Guests will be able to enjoy a selection of Taylors of Harrogate Fine Leaf Teas including Imperial Gunpowder Green Tea, Afternoon Darjeeling, Pure Ceylon and China Rose Petal alongside some delectable macaroons at 11am and 3pm on Tuesday 9 August and Wednesday 10 August.
In addition to this, the team will have a stand in York Station on Monday 8 August until 6pm where they will be showcasing the beautifully restored railway carriage as the perfect location to enjoy a traditional English afternoon tea. The team will be armed with some delicious cake samples from their summer menu to tempt visitors to stop by and celebrate Afternoon Tea Week on the Countess of York.

All catering at the National Railway Museum is provided by in-house caterers Levy Restaurants UK.
