Image of the Week is all about engaging imagery, so apart from giving readers the basics of what the image is, where it was taken and why Majella chose it, we will let the images speak for themselves.
This week’s image is a dish created by Chef Eloise Dawes at restaurant Paradise Garage: Cooked buttermilk sorbet with fresh strawberries, strawberry mousse, strawberry jelly, strawberry popcorn, strawberry everything! The sorbet is made from buttermilk left over from churning to make homemade clotted cream that creates the smoked butter at Paradise Garage.
During this week’s image selection process Majella told us:
“I do really enjoy eating the food created by Robin Gill and his team, this shoot was taken at lunch and with not one chair available that day clearly so do many others. I enjoy taking pictures of the food at Paradise Garage even more, the creativity of Eloise does make it a challenge to capture just how special her food is. The natural lighting that day however allowed me to capture the essence of this dish, shadows of red softened by a pink hue and the playfulness of the popcorn. So I hope I have done the food justice.”
