Hard Days Night Hotel introduces afternoon ‘tea for two’

By James Russell: Hard Days Night Hotel introduces afternoon ‘tea for two’

August 8, 2016

Hard Days Night Hotel has added to its ever-popular Afternoon Tea offering with the introduction of Tea for Two.

The Beatles-inspired hotel located on North John Street will now provide a quintessential experience, ideal for couples and duos wanting to while away a warm summer’s afternoon.

Served in the venue’s exclusive Lounge & Bar, the new menu addition will accompany signature choices including Traditional Afternoon Tea and High Tea.

General Manager of Hard Days Night Hotel Mike Dewey said: “As our Afternoon Tea offering continues to be a firm favourite with our guests, we wanted to create a new menu option designed with intimate dining in mind. The aptly named Tea for Two combines nostalgic sweet and savoury light bites – perfect for sharing with a family member, friend or work colleague.

“To accompany the new Tea for Two, we have put a seasonal spin on our existing offerings and have welcomed the return of the refreshing Fab Four-inspired Long Island Iced Tea to provide a novel summer cool-down.”

Tea for Two combines an array of finger sandwiches including Smoked Salmon & Citrus Cream Cheese, Glazed Ham & Grain Mustard Mayo and Classic Cucumber. Those with a sweet tooth can then enjoy Fruit Scones served with Clotted Cream & Preserves, together with the addition of Carrot Cake and a variety of Macaroons. Accompanying JING loose leaf tea options include English Breakfast Black Tea, Earl Grey Black Tea, Jade Sword Green Tea Blackcurrant and Hibiscus, Whole Chamomile Flowers and Whole Peppermint Leaf.

Guests wanting to further the indulgence can upgrade to High Tea and opt for either Prosecco and Champagne or choose between four Long Island Iced Tea cocktails, which have been influenced by the Sgt. Pepper’s album cover.

Mike added: “As a venue that prides itself on British heritage and culture, Afternoon Tea has become a core offering loved by everyone of all ages, whether they be global tourists or local residents.

“While our Afternoon Tea packages continue to remain popular amongst group bookings such as hen parties and baby showers, we hope that the new addition will go down a treat with those wanting a more intimate experience.”
