This October, Bel-Air, the home of feel good fast food in Shoreditch, will be celebrating truffles. Making a guest appearance on the Autumn menu, truffles will adorn two specials, plus the option to pimp your favourite dish with Marche’s finest for a touch of luxury.

Foraged by hand until early January, the decadent nutty flavour of these little gems will be highlighted in Roast lemon chicken, drizzled with black truffle oil and accompanied by roasted Jerusalem artichoke mash and an autumnal herb salad and, if a hard day at the office means that truffle alone won’t cut the mustard, Bel-Air will also be on hand with ‘The Baller’: an indulgent salad of wild mushroom, orzo, and champagne vinaigrette finished with a dose of truffle.

From Bel-Air’s Autumn menu, top picks for truffle topping include; Wild oregano pork tenderloin with mustard seed rice and green leaves and Berbere roasted cauliflower with spinach, coriander and orzo. Salads can also be pimped with truffle, and, if you wake up with a craving, top your Muscle Beach breakfast of grilled steak, smoky spinach, sweet potato hash and poached egg with a shaving of the good stuff.

“Everyone deserves a slice, or shaving, of the good life from time to time. At Bel-Air we like to think that we offer a taste of the good life all year round, but truffle season is the perfect excuse to go that little bit further. We’re all about celebrating the finest ingredients we can get our hands on, and given these little gems aren’t around for long, we really want to make the most of them whilst we can” says Bel-Air founder, Andrew Bredon.
