Rocco Forte Hotels are pleased to announce the appointment of Michele Norsa as Non-Executive Director to the main board with immediate effect.
Mr Norsa brings a wealth of experience in the luxury sector and was most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of Italian luxury goods company, Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A., where he led the team since 2006. Currently he also serves on the Board of Directors of Oettinger Davidoff AG and is a member of the International Advisory Board of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)
Prior to this, Mr Norsa was at the helm of major fashion and luxury companies in Italy, from Valentino Fashion Group S.p.A, Marzotto S.p.A., Benetton Sportsystem Active and Sandys (Sergio Tacchini). Mr Norsa graduated with first class honours in Business Administration from the Università Cattolica, Milan, in 1971 and speaks Italian, French, English and Spanish.
On Mr Norsa’s appointment Sir Rocco Forte, Chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels said:
