Prior to moving to West London, The Design Museum on Butlers Wharf will host a Weekend Punk celebrating forty years of this epic genre on 25th – 26th June. Blueprint Café will join in the celebrations with a pop up at the museum and serve Punk-themed treats throughout the weekend.
Inspired by this epic genre, Blueprint Café’s mixologist has created a signature drink, the Funky Drummer, a cocktail of dandelion & burdock fizz with rhubarb sherbet. To satiate Punk fans’ appetites, a BBQ of falafel in pitta and grilled Merguez sausage, tomato and coriander salsa with sour cream will also be served. Punk rockers at Blueprint Café will distribute punk-like single chocolate dahlia flowers by Rees & Co. including a tag that entitles you to a 20% discount on your total lunch bill until 30th November.
Weekend Punk is part of Punk London; a yearlong celebration of the legacy of punk across the capital. On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June there will be complimentary workshops, live performances and displays allowing members of the general public to freely express their punky creativity. The Design Museum’s final exhibition at Butlers Wharf, Cycle Revolution, is free to enter all weekend. There will also be a stage hosting talks, DJs and live music.
