Ingredients
- 1 box Fry’s Thick Cut Chunky Strips
- 1/2 Medium yellow pepper
- 1 Large onion
- 1 Large tomato
- 1/2 Small lettuce
- 1 tub Hummus
- 1tbsp Olive oil
- Pita breads
- Soy sauce/maple syrup to taste
- 1 pinch salt & pepper
Method
- Shred lettuce and dice tomatoes (these will be used as fresh ingredients).
- Slice onion into rings and fry together slices of yellow pepper, salt, pepper, maple syrup or soy sauce with a tablespoon of olive oil for about 10 minutes.
- Then Fry the chunky strips for 6 min.
- Add sweet chilli sauce and fry for a further 2 min until the sweet chilli caramelizes onto the Strips.
- Then add to the veggies.
- Place pita bread in preheated oven and warm through.
- Open pitta pocket and generously smear houmous on the inside.
- Fill the pocket with all the remaining ingredients.
