The White Brasserie Company, part of Brasserie Bar Co, is set to open its tenth pub, The Victoria in Oxshott. The Victoria will open on 10th May as part of The White Brasserie Company’s plan to roll out 20 pubs over the next three years.
Designed by PNW Studio, the restoration of the 1,160 square foot space has enhanced its original features including the existing fireplaces. The removal of existing awnings has transformed the exterior and refreshed window panes in the original bay windows fill the space with natural light. The open bar seats 32, alongside the 64 cover brasserie, and an expansive landscaped terraced garden at the rear of the building for outdoor dining.
The Victoria will use the best seasonal ingredients to offer a combination of traditional British pub food with a French twist. Starters include Shetland Isles mussels; chili & ginger squid and potted Cromer crab. Mains feature slow-cooked boeuf bourguignon with creamy mashed potatoes; seared Cornish king scallops; and pan-fried chickpea & coriander cakes. Classic pub dishes include free-range dry-aged Cornish steak and traditional Sunday roasts. For dessert, expect dishes such as summer berry savarin orclassic deep-baked lemon tart. Young children are also catered for with a dedicated kids menu featuring Henri le Worm, and half portions of many of the a la carte dishes are available for older children.
The Victoria will offer an extensive wine list, featuring a selection of high-end and bespoke wines, including their very own sparkling wine, Blanc de Blancs, alongside wines from English Winery Chapel Down. A selection of premium and classic cocktails will be available, together with draught beers and bitters. These include guest beers ‘Sheer Drop’ and ‘Hophead’ from the local Surrey Hills Brewery and Dark Star Brewery respectively.
