St. Austell Brewery Company Limited, the South West’s most successful independent brewer with 169 pubs and a portfolio of award-winning Cornish beers, has reported a 7.9% increase in annual turnover to £137.4 million and a 7.6% increase in operating profit before other items to £13.5 million in the 53-week period to 2nd January 2016.
Will Michelmore, non-executive Chairman of St. Austell Brewery, said: “St Austell Brewery invested £16.6 million during 2015 on capital expenditure, of which £8.6 million was on new acquisitions. The company has also continued its investment in its production facilities and in refurbishing and improving its pubs and hotels.”
