One Warwick Park; an elegant hotel in Tunbridge Wells’ historic Pantiles district which opens to guests next month, has appointed a group of ‘rising star’ specialists to form the senior management team. In an innovative departure from the traditional General Manager structure, One Warwick Park has hand-picked experts in their respective fields to lead the hotel’s guest offering.
“We made a conscious decision to move away from the conventional hospitality structure.” Said Louise Clark Managing Director of Markerstudy Leisure, owner-operators of One Warwick Park. “We believe our staff should be experts in their field; knowledgeable curators of their own specialism, unrestricted by a rigid hierarchy which may not allow them to innovate, create and implement a superlative experience. We’ve therefore appointed from within to create roles which are responsible for different guest touch-points.”
The new One Warwick Park Senior Management team includes: Franck Bellavoine, previously of Bluebird joins OWP as Food & Beverage Manager. Overseeing all elements of the hotel’s food and beverage offering including new 75-cover restaurant L’AMORE, private dining, speciality afternoon teas, room and event service, Bellavoine will work closely with experienced Head Chef Marco Goldin to ensure a seamless, yet distinctive dining experience.
Franck commented, “Taste for me is multi-sensory and with so many occasions for dining at One Warwick Park, I’m looking forward to a great challenge! We’ve recruited a very experienced and talented team who I know are more than a match for it.”
Bryony England, previously of the Brew House Hotel and Salomons Estate, has been appointed to oversee the Front of House experience. More than just a warm welcome, Bryony will be responsible for maintaining the sartorial style of the hotel and its staff. Having discerned herself during her years with Markerstudy Leisure as having a keen eye for detail and impeccable standards, Bryony’s expertise in front of house management will offer guests a service which represents the ‘carefully curated’ ethos of One Warwick Park. Commenting on her new role Bryony said, “I’m delighted to be taking on such an important and integral role within the One Warwick Park team. First impressions are the most important and I’m passionate about ensuring we make a great first impression every time a guest walks through our doors.”
Melissa Brooker’s expertise lies in tailoring the perfect solution for any requirement. With a two-year career in events management with Markerstudy Leisure, Melissa will take up the Group Events Manager position. Responsible for overseeing and tailoring a range of occasions from company gatherings to weddings and private dinner parties, Melissa’s commercial proficiency and portfolio of contacts will ensure guest expectations are not just met, but exceeded. Commenting on her new role, Melissa said “The opening of One Warwick Park brings a luxury experience to the heart of Kent and offers an atmosphere of contemporary elegance and functional design. As Head of Events, I have a range of distinctive spaces available including the timeless, former School House, to guarantee guests a bespoke event to remember.”
Roland Gal, previously of Hilton Group has been appointed Group Head Housekeeper, responsible for curating a guest’s personal space. Focusing on comfort, tranquility, efficiency and personalisation Roland will lead a team of housekeepers to guarantee each of the 39 bedrooms and suites at One Warwick Park convey the exacting standards set at One Warwick Park.
Commenting on his new role, Roland said, “My focus is to create a home from home for our guests and for me the key to achieving this is by perfecting those small intuitive touches guests barely notice as much as the ones they do.”
