London based catering and furniture hire company, Allens Hire, was awarded the 2016 Event Equipment Hire Company of the Year at the Hire Awards of Excellence ceremony, which took place on Saturday 23 April at 8 Northumberland in central London.
This is the fifth time Allens Hire has taken home the award. The catering company last won the prestigious accolade in 2014.
“We wanted to have an entry,” said Marketing Manager, Lene McGuinness. “That moved on from our last win in 2014 and showed that we have moved on majorly as a business.”
The independently judged Hire Awards of Excellence throws a spotlight on the successes of the hirers and suppliers along with incredible individuals who set the standard within the industry.
This year’s event was hosted by radio presenter and broadcast journalist Jeremy Vine. On presenting the award to Allens Vine said:
“Once again this category is won by an entry that was both refreshingly innovative and different from the start and managed to clearly demonstrate commitment to customer and employee alike. It was obvious they had set out to win this award, it was just a superb entry.”
Allen’s Hire were also delighted to receive a Highly Commended award in the Safehire Company of the Year Category, one of the most converted awards. This category takes into account health, safety and wellbeing of both the workforce and the users of hire equipment.
Every company which has achieved SafeHire accreditations from the Hire Association is entered into the competition which means that a huge number of very large companies were in the running for the title, so the award represents a significant milestone for Allens, a catering equipment and furniture hire specialist serving London and the South of England.
