Punch publican, The Twelve Pins, enjoyed a successful evening thanks to a very important guest; the UEFA Euro 2016 trophy visited the Punch pub for one night only as part of a Carlsberg initiative.
The site hosted the Henri Delaunay trophy for football fans to visit and enjoy a pint while they admired the trophy. In the lead-up to the Euros, the nation has high hopes for the home nations and, although those dreams may not be achieved, at least fans were privileged enough to be within touching distance of the prize itself (even if it won’t return to British soil this summer!)
Publican at The Twelve Pins, Irene XXXX, says, ‘We really enjoyed hosting the Euros trophy and it was great to see enthusiasm from our locals as well as some new faces. It was a fun night with representatives from Punch and Carlsberg attending; needless to say it was a busy evening and we were very pleased we could be involved.’
