The Roux Scholarship has been running since 1984 and gives young chefs a platform to test their skills at the highest level. It is not simply a scholarship, but an opportunity to become a member of the elite group of chefs who have won and driven the culinary world to new heights. Top chefs such as Simon Hulstone, Andrew Fairlie and Matthew Tomkinson to name a few.
To be in a room with judges: Pierre Gagnaire (Honorary President Judges 2016), Alain Roux (Chairman), Michel Roux Jr (Chairman), Brian Turner (CBE Vice Chairman) is an honour.
From the whole team at H&C News, we would like to thank all those involved in the running of the The Roux Scholarship inspiring young chefs to ignite their passion for culinary excellence.
The Winner of The Roux Scholarship 2016 is Harry Guy, Eden Hotel Collection, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire.
Also well done to all finalists this year:

- Ben Champkin, L’Enclume, Cartmel, Cumbria
- Scott Dineen, Goldman Sachs, (BaxterStorey), London

To get to the final of the The Roux Scholarship, in our opinion the world’s best Chef competition is quite some achievement in itself, so please all feel part of the success 2016 and try again in future as others have done.
