On Saturday 11th June the first H&C News Summer Supper Club will take place in Ascot. The event is being held to raise money for the Isiseko Educare Centre in Cape Town through BEcause XM. The party is taking place at the home (uber cool mansion) of one of our supporters in Ascot.
Our first supper club will feature Indian Cuisine and we are delighted that Cyrus Todiwala OBE and his wife Pervin will be joining us. Head Chef for the evening is Mridula Baljekar, best-selling author of 27 Indian cookery books and home event chef to Tony and Cherie Blair, Jerry Hall and many other well-known enthusiasts of Indian Cuisine. Working with Mridula in the kitchens (yes plural) is Thomas J Leatherbarrow the widely acclaimed and accomplished pastry chef. Thomas is probably best known for working with Jason Atherton at Pollen Street Social and will be bringing a colleague chef from Pastry Development. Daksha Mistry, a finalist and now guest judge in BBC’s Masterchef will be creating the canapés.
The event will start at 7.15 with a champagne reception and dinner will be served at 8.00. After dinner there will be a live Bollywood dance performance by KSPARK entertainments who will spice up the evening with an East meets West fusion act.
There will be a raffle with prizes supplied by supporters of the evening as well as an auction for a few ‘very special’ items.
The party will then take to the gardens where guests can enjoy more entertainment and champagne.
