Long standing Roomzzz employee, Mark Walton, has been appointed as chief operating officer of the aparthotel chain having previously worked as head of Roomzzz.
During a 20-year career, Mark has opened and managed over 19 addresses, across the UK, Europe & Middle East. From flagship, 400-room airport properties to the innovative aparthotel concept that is Roomzzz.
Mark joined Roomzzz in 2005 and opened the first two aparthotels before joining the Easy group to help roll out the Easy hotel chain across Europe and Dubai. He rejoined Roomzzz three years later to help facilitate expansion plans with the aim of having 1000 keys across the UK by the end of 2017.
Naveen Ahmed, CEO of Roomzzz, said: “To coincide with growing business opportunities and development of the Roomzzz brand, we decided to change Mark’s role to chief operating officer. This new role will play to his strengths of leadership and will help to drive the business forward with our expansion plans.”
