Cocotte – a new rotisserie chicken restaurant based in Notting Hill

By James Russell: Cocotte – a new rotisserie chicken restaurant based in Notting Hill

April 4, 2016

We are delighted to introduce Cocotte, a new rotisserie chicken restaurant based in Notting Hill, serving succulent roast chicken to eat in or takeaway with classic side dishes and healthy salads.  Launched in February 2016, the restaurant is inspired by the chicken takeaway sites popular in Paris and offers a healthy alternative, perfect for working lunches, delicious dinners or easy takeaway options for family sharing suppers at home.

Ensuring every dish is prepared with juicy, flavourful meat, Cocotte’s chickens are marinated for 24 hours in their secret recipe of herbs and spices before being slow cooked for 3 hours at 93oC and then finished on the spit to crisp up the skin.  Chickens are served whole, half or by the quarter alongside a range of sauces that are made in small batches for absolute freshness and include garlic mayo, home-made barbeque, Cocotte mustard, chicken gravy, spicy and a fresh pesto made with parsley, coriander, basil and mint.

In addition, Cocotte’s salads are clean, light and vibrant and can be served as either a light side dish or nutritious main course, including include Raymonde (Quinoa, millet, yellow pepper, cherry tomatoes, peas and black currant) and Fernande (Barley, pomegranate, feta cheese, baby salad and spring onions) as well as classic dishes, Green (Baby romaine, olive oil & whole grain mustard dressing) and Capucine (Lettuce, croutons, caesar dressing, parmesan cheese).  For those on the lookout for more indulgence, creamy mash and exquisite truffle mac & cheese are also on offer together with delicious roasted baby potatoes.  The wine list includes exquisite wines from France, Spain, Chile and Italy and there is also a selection of classic cocktails including Bloody Mary, Mimosa and Aperol Spritz.

As for desserts, guests can choose from a range of options including date and coconut cake and a selection of Japanese sticky rice cakes known as mochi (coconut, pineapple, mango, chocolate and strawberry cheesecake).

The restaurant interior has an eclectic feel with rustic wooden tables and plant pots on display with an open entrance, shedding a vast expanse of light onto the restaurant during the day, and low lighting for a warm and welcoming atmosphere for evening bookings.  Exposed brickwork and copper piping give the interiors more of an edge while the rotisserie spit is on display in the centre of the restaurant behind the counter seating.

Cocotte is a new neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of West London, serving nutritious dishes available to enjoy for take away or delivery – perfect for a quick and easy midweek lunch at the office or to pick up a wholesome dinner to share after work.
