Long standing Michelin starred chef Alfred Prasad, formerly of Tamarind and Zaika joins Athenian grill restaurant, Suvlaki in Soho as a Consultant Chef. With his expertise, Prasad will bring an elevation to their already delicious, authentic and traditional Greek offering. Prasad has been working tirelessly alongside Elias Mamalakis on exciting new dishes which will feature on their menu which launches just in time for spring.
“I visited Greece for the first time last year and really took to the cuisine – the simplicity of cooking combined with the purity of produce. I am really excited with the opportunity to translate that inspiration to creative expression at Suvlaki. To do this alongside, a Greek food legend Elias Mamalakis, makes it even more special.”
Known for his keen eye, Prasad has designed inventive menus for a number of restaurants in the past, giving each a distinctive brand identity. This is one of his key strengths, among others, which he will be bringing with him to Suvlaki. Prasad has held a Michelin star for thirteen years along with several other accolades.
