Royal Academy of Culinary Arts member Giorgio Locatelli is holding an Adopt a School session at his newly-adopted school, Rhyl Primary in Camden, to help promote healthy eating and food provenance to primary school children.
The session Giorgio will deliver involves children engaging in a taste and sensory activity and learning about food in a holistic sense. Giorgio is due to return to the school to deliver two further sessions, including a bread and pasta masterclass.
Giorgio said: “It’s only by teaching children that we can change the future of society. This is why programmes like Adopt a School are so valuable and important”.
Giorgio Locatelli, founder of Michelin-starred restaurant Locanda Locatelli, has become a household name and has been working in partnership with the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts to promote the importance of food education in schools.
Through the help of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ devoted members, Adopt a School aims to reach 20,000 pupils this year through these hugely beneficial and educational sessions.
As well as chef Giorgio, students at Rhyl Primary School are also due to have a visit from Luigi Cagnin, Restaurant Manager at The Ritz London, who will deliver a front of house session to these lucky school children.
