K Bar is delighted to announce the appointment of award-winning mixologist Ben Manchester as Bar Manager. K Bar is the newly opened luxury drinking destination in South Kensington at The Kensington hotel.

Manchester, who was previously Bar Manager at Hotel du Vin Brighton, will be bringing his 10 years’ of experience in the industry and will be overseeing the bar launch and unveiling a new creative cocktail List.

Highlights on the menu will include the Kensington Champagne cocktail, Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut, Calvados, Sugar, Rhubarb Bitters which is set to be the signature drink. The refreshing Final Letter which will consist of No.3 Gin, Green Chartreuse, St Germain Elderflower, Lime and Jouanacaera, containing Trois Rivières Blanc Rum, Lime, Sugar, Celery Bitters.

Alongside the cocktail menu Manchester will also be offering an extensive selection of premium wines and spirits in South Kensington’s latest hot spot.

Ben Manchester began his career in Brighton in 2004 before moving to Australia in 2008 where he worked at award winning Goldfish Bar. Manchester was a finalist in the Peter F Heering Sling Award 2013, one of the most esteemed cocktail competitions in the world.

Simon Maguire, General Manager for The Kensington hotel comments: “We are delighted to welcome Ben in this new role. I’ve previously worked with him at Hotel du Vin Brighton and can attest to his great knowledge and passion for the cocktail craft – he will be a valuable asset to the food and beverage team. Ben is the motivating force behind the K Bar launch and we are excited to make the bar a great success.”

Ben Manchester adds: “I’m thrilled to be the new Bar Manager and launch K Bar this February. I’ve just finalised the Cocktail List, including Contemporary, Classic, Dessert and Non-alcoholic cocktails. I’m looking forward to working with Simon and the team to put K Bar firmly on the London social map.”
