The Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for 2016 features four representatives for the hospitality sector, which could perhaps do more to raise its profile by increasing the number of nominations that it collectively makes? Raising the profile of successful business leaders in hospitality will, in turn, raise the profile of the sector and help it to attract the talent demonstrated by the four ‘leaders’ below.

- MBE: Professor David Levin, Founder, The Capital Hotel – for services to Hospitality and Youth Training
- CBE: Dr Maurice Taylor, Chief Executive and Founder, Chardon Trading – for services to Business and Charity
