Hospitality employers to enter prestigious new training awards

By James Russell: Hospitality employers to enter prestigious new training awards

January 17, 2016

Applications are now open for the Princess Royal Training Awards – a new set of awards designed to recognise UK employers who directly link learning & development to the performance of their business.

The awards provide an excellent opportunity for all types and sizes of organisations to gain recognition for an exemplary approach to training. They will recognise achievement across a range of business sectors, from financial services to technology and from telecoms to retail.

Free to enter, the Princess Royal Training Awards provide feedback on all submissions, enabling organisations to strengthen their training strategies, and are delivered for the first time this year by the City & Guilds Group, a leader in global skills development.

Michael Osbaldeston, Senior Adviser at the City & Guilds Group, said: ‘These awards are all about recognising excellence in training and, unlike other awards, the Princess Royal Training Awards will celebrate the achievement of a standard of excellence rather than selecting overall winners. All entrants will be offered feedback regardless of how far they get in the process, enabling them to strengthen and improve their training programmes.’

About the Princess Royal Training Awards

The Princess Royal Training Awards is a new honour for employers in the UK who have created outstanding training and skills development programmes which have resulted in exceptional commercial benefits.

Applications will be assessed against three Hallmarks of Excellence:

  1. Training and learning and development is integral to business performance
  2. The programme is delivered efficiently and effectively
  3. The programme has an impact on the success of the organisation and its people
