Forget fighting your way through a packed gym, pull on your dancing shoes and join the salsa craze already sweeping the city. That’s the message from the team at Revolución de Cuba in Nottingham this year with their resolutions de Cuba!
The colourful Cuban rum and cocktail bar based on Market Street in Nottingham’s city centre, danced onto Nottingham’s bar scene in December. Since its official opening on the 19th December over 220 people have signed up to learn the Cuban national dance where the average person can lose around 400 calories an hour that’s roughly two mince pies!
“People sign up for the gym at the start of January to get fit but hitting the dance floor rather than the treadmill is a lot more fun, it’s sociable and you can lose more calories than you think” said Robert Litchfieldgeneral manager at Revolución de Cuba Nottingham.
If Salsa isn’t your thing but you still want to try something new, the activities don’t stop there, as Rob explains: “Giving things up can be a bit of a snooze, we believe that learning something new is much better. You can try a mojito making masterclass with our experts, a burrito making workshop, or even brush up on your rum knowledge with our tasting sessions”.
