London-based, Affinity Bars & Restaurants, which also includes The Henry Root, Princess Victoria and The Lady Ottoline within its portfolio, is opening its fourth restaurant Dickie Fitz at the top of Newman Street in late February.
The all-day dining room will be open Monday to Sunday and will offer a full menu from breakfast through to dinner with dishes inspired by the flavours and ingredients of the Pacific. Drinks and small plates as well as Saturday brunches and a fresh new take on Sunday lunch will also be available. At the helm will be Australian group executive chef Matt Robinson, who most notably headed up the kitchen at Bluebird Chelsea, prior to spending time across a number of Gordon Ramsay Group restaurants, Marco Pierre White’s Criterion and Skylon.
The new open, bright space will be spread across two floors, with interiors designed by Kanvass, and will have a number of standout features including an art deco stained glass staircase. The restaurant will cater to 45 covers on the ground floor with a further 45 covers upstairs and 14 on the terrace. Dickie Fitz will also be available for private hire and exclusive events, with a semi-private space available on the top floor seating up to 14 guests.
James McLean, Chief Executive of Affinity Bars & Restaurants comments: “We’re delighted to introduce Dickie Fitz to Fitzrovia. With its exciting and fresh Australasian concept, a menu created using Matt Robinson’s global experience and palate, and featuring weekend brunches, Sunday roasts and contemporary cocktails, we feel it’ll be a welcome addition to the thriving neighbourhood.”
