Craft London launches Test Kitchen Tuesdays

By James Russell: Craft London launches Test Kitchen Tuesdays

On the 19th January the kitchen team at Craft London will kick off “Test Kitchen Tuesdays” a unique opportunity for guests to sample the best of the seasons with a blind tasting menu. Every Tuesday evening, for £28 per person, guests will taste up to 6 dishes that are still in development or available only in very small quantity.

Creative process of menu testing

Craft London’s guests will have the opportunity to be involved in the creative process of menu testing and they will be the first to taste potential new dishes in a single sitting. Guests will be able to engage with the chefs who have created them and be part of the collaborative ethos that Craft London is committed to. The chefs will start from scratch and create a completely original menu, experimenting with ingredients and techniques.

Seasonality

As with all food at Craft London, seasonality will play a huge part in Test Kitchen Tuesdays, giving chefs the opportunity to focus on incredible ingredients, perhaps in season for a very short time or pickled at their peak months ago and perfect to serve then and there.

About Craft London

Stevie Parle, acclaimed chef, author, food writer and TV presenter opened Craft London, three floors of culinary surprise and excellence in April 2015.

Craft London is a partnership with Tom Dixon and designed by Design Research Studio, located in the new cultural hub of Greenwich Peninsula. The project kicked off with a café/roastery in October 2014 and the restaurant, cocktail bar and shop followed in April. The focus is on quality in production, collaborating with modern experts, fanatics and obsessives, to craft world-class products. This includes activities as diverse as the roasting of coffee, smoking of fish, bee keeping, meat curing, fermentation of vegetables and the creation of a contemporary kitchen garden.
