Levy Restaurants celebrate a year of success

By James Russell: Levy Restaurants celebrate a year of success

December 18, 2015

Levy Restaurants UK, the sports, leisure and hospitality sector of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has concluded a successful 2015 with a combination of new contracts and award wins.

Notable client wins include a five-year catering contract to design and manage a wide range of cafes and event spaces at three Imperial War Museum branches; IWM Duxford; Churchill War Rooms; and HMS Belfast and the public and event catering contract for KidZania London, the UK’s first educational entertainment experience at Westfield London.

Contract extensions for 2015 include a new ten year partnership with ExCeL London, a five year extension with Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), and renewed partnerships with the Ricoh Arena and Sheffield United.

In recognition of an exceptional year across the business, Levy Restaurants UK was named Retail and Leisure Caterer of the Year at the Foodservice Cateys. The awards recognise those who have performed outstandingly within their sector, with the judging panel commenting: “Extremely customer focused with a reputation for great food – a clear winner.”

Alongside the significant commercial success, Levy Restaurants UK has also taken the opportunity to refresh its iconic Leith’s brand, enhancing the values of modern, British culinary excellence.

The executive culinary team (pictured top) was also strengthened with the appointment of four sector specific culinary directors, working across stadia, leisure venues, Jockey Club Catering, conference centres and arenas. The team also works together on new menus, concept developments and innovations across Levy Restaurants UK’s portfolio.

November saw Cheltenham Racecourse launch one of 2015’s biggest investments in UK sport, The Princess Royal Stand, featuring major innovations in public catering and state of the art entertaining areas for hospitality clients, racehorse owners and trainers.

“Robust insights, strategic planning, bespoke solutions and thorough execution coupled with constant innovation are at the heart of our success”, says Colin Bailey, managing director for Levy Restaurants UK. “As we look forward to 2016 we will continue to invest in, and showcase, our customer-centric approach which enables us to create legendary experiences for our guests.”
