Management company Valor Hospitality Europe has appointed a new general manager to its hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Leeds City Centre.
With over twenty five years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Tim Price first worked as a general manager at the Angel Hotel, Chippenham in 1989. His job then took him to hotels across the UK from the Sheffield Moat House to St David’s Hotel and Spa, Cardiff to The Selfridge Hotel, London.
Throughout his career, Tim has built up an impressive reputation for managing successful hotels. He has also turned around the fortunes of underperforming hotels by improving guest satisfaction ratings, profits and staff engagement. Tim hopes that he will be able to continue to build on this success in his new position.
“My aim is for the DoubleTree by Hilton Leeds City Centre to become the first choice hotel for guests in Leeds and for people looking for a career in hotels” said Tim. “I have ambitious plans for the hotel and I hope to increase profit and revenue numbers with a view to attract future investment into Valor Hospitality Europe.
“The team at the DoubleTree and Valor have been really welcoming and I’m looking forward to delivering a great service to all our visitors.”
Valor Hospitality Europe has been operational in the UK for one year and has grown rapidly during this time and now has 20 hotels in its portfolio. It also recently announced that it has been appointed to manage the first two AC Hotels by Marriott in the UK.

Valor Hospitality Europe is an extension of USA based Valor Hospitality Partners, which operates properties on the East Coast of the United States and Valor’s sister company, PMR Hospitality Partners, based in Cape Town, that manages a portfolio of properties in South Africa.
Valor operates independent hotels, resorts and branded properties and enjoys a strong working relationship with many of the major brands, including IHG, Hilton, Marriott and Starwood.
