Chocolate Ganache Layer Cake

This recipe for Chocolate Ganache Layer Cake is brought to you by Rachel Phipps.

The ingredient you will need:

  • 50g (2 oz) Cocoa Powder, sifted (I like Cadbury’s Bournville and Trader Joe’s own brand)
  • 6 tbsp Boiling Water
  • 3 Large Free Range Eggs
  • 120 ml (4 fl oz) Whole Milk
  • 175g (6 oz) Self-Raising Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 100g (4 oz) Soft Margarine
  • 275g (10 oz) Golden Caster Sugar (if you live in the USA granulated is fine)
  • 270g (10 oz) Plain Chocolate (I use Cadbury Bournville)
  • 300 ml (10 fl oz) Double Cream
  • 100g Dark Chocolate
  • 100g Milk Chocolate
  • 3 tbsp Apricot Jam (I like Bonne Maman)
